Vol. 413 No. 6

Written Answers. - Housing Remedial Works Scheme.

Gerry Reynolds

Question:

25 Mr. G. Reynolds asked the Minister for the Environment the number of subsidised capital allocations under the remedial works scheme to repair certain local authority houses that have been made; the counties they have been made to; and if an allocation will be made to Leitrim County Council in the present year.

I refer to the reply to Questions Nos. 253 and 259 of 17 April 1991. Leitrim County Council have sought funding under the remedial works scheme for four estates. Technical documentation in respect of the Cappagh Estate, Mohill, to which the authority have given the highest priority rating, is awaited. When this is received, a decision will be made on eligibility of the estate under the scheme.

An allocation of £50,000 was made to the council under the special bathroom sub-programme for 1991.
