Vol. 413 No. 6

Written Answers. - Cork Garda Station Extension.

Bernard Allen

Question:

74 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Finance if he will give details of the firm which received the contract to build Togher Garda station in Cork; and if he will make a statement on (1) the tenders submitted (2) the prices quoted and (3) the basis on which the tender was selected.

Tenders were invited by public advertisement in May 1991, for an extension to Togher Garda district headquarters, Cork city. A total of 12 tenders were received on time. Following full and careful consideration of these tenders a contract was placed with Kilmoney Construction Limited, who submitted the lowest most suitable tender.

I regret that in the interest of confidentiality detailed information on the tenders received for the project may not be revealed.
