80 Mr. Sherlock asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if his attention has been drawn to the fact that insufficient funding is delaying the work of the disadvantaged areas panel; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
The work of surveying the areas which have applied on appeal for inclusion in the disadvantaged areas will begin as soon as the necessary detailed arrangements preliminary to a field survey can be finalised in association with the appeals panel. I would hope that the inspections can begin next month or early in the New Year.
