Vol. 413 No. 7

Written Answers. - Waterford School for Handicapped Children.

Austin Deasy

Question:

27 Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for Health if she will provide special funding to allow the school for handicapped children at the Sacred Heart Unit, Lady's Lane, Waterford, to continue to operate.

The funding of this unit is a matter for the South Eastern Health Board in the first instance. The board have been funding the unit since 1973 and have agreed to provide £100,000 this year, which is an increase of £10,000 over their 1990 level of funding.
