Vol. 414 No. 4

Written Answers. - Tralee (Kerry) Hospital Staff.

Jimmy Deenihan

Question:

215 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Health if it is her intention to provide the necessary resources to the Southern Health Board to enable them to appoint an ear, nose and throat surgeon on a full time basis at Tralee General Hospital.

The funding for the appointment of full-time ear, nose and throat surgeon to the Southern Health Board to be based at Tralee General Hospital will be considered in the context of the 1992 Estimates and the priority given to such an appointment by the board vis-à-vis their overall staffing and service requirements.
