Vol. 414 No. 4

Written Answers. - Killybegs (Donegal) Nursing Unit.

Mary Coughlan

Question:

224 Miss Coughlan asked the Minister for Health the up-to-date position in relation to the provision of the proposed Killybegs nursing unit in County Donegal.

The North-Western Health Board, at a meeting on 16 September 1991, adopted a report on services for the elderly in the Killybegs district. This involved the acquisition of a new site on which a community nursing unit would be developed. The board subsequently wrote to my Department seeking approval and this matter is presently under consideration. I will keep the Deputy informed of developments in this matter.
