68 Mr. Alyward asked the Minister for Health if she will outline the type of pension or assistance which can be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny who is terminally ill and is married with two dependent children.
The assessment of eligibility for an allowance or assistance in any individual case is the responsibility of the health board concerned. Accordingly, I have referred the case to the chief executive officer of the South-Eastern Health Board for investigation and a request that he reply to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
