42 Mr. Rabbitte asked the Minister for Justice when it is intended to introduce the promised Family Home Bill, especially in view of the judgment given by the Supreme Court on 5 December 1991; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
47 Mr. Taylor asked the Minister for Justice if, in the light of the Supreme Court decision in December 1991 concerning the automatic right of women in the family home, he will outline when the proposed Family Home Bill which aims to rectify this situation will be brought before the Oireachtas; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
I propose to take Questions Nos. 42 and 47 together.
I intend to introduce legislation as soon as possible to give each spouse equal rights in the ownership of the family home and contents.
