Joe Sherlock

Question:

40 Mr. Sherlock asked the Minister for the Environment if the Government are planning to make any alterations to the system of proportional representation used in elections in this country; if any study group has been established or study commissioned on any change; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Dick Spring

Question:

64 Mr. Spring asked the Minister for the Environment if he has any plans to bring forward proposals involving changes in the proportional representational method of election; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Proinsias De Rossa

Question:

165 Proinsias De Rossa asked the Minister for the Environment if, in regard to the speech the Taoiseach delivered to a Cairde Fáil dinner on 28 November 1991, he will outline the proposals, if any, he intends to bring before the Government for changes in our current electoral system; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 40, 64 and 165 together.

I have no proposals of this kind at present.
