I have been informed by the Director of ERAD that the de-population grants due to the person named will be paid within the next few weeks. The value of the grants is £4,320 and the number of eligible animals is 48.

Question:215 Mr. Farrelly asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a cattle headage grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Meath; and if it will be paid before the end of February.
This person is not eligible for grants under the 1991 cattle and equines headage scheme because his lands are not in a disadvantaged area. He has been deemed ineligible for grants under the 1991 special beef premium scheme because, (a) he listed on his application 21 animals on which premium had already been claimed and (b) he did not maintain all the animals listed on his application for two months or until inspections as required under the terms and conditions of the scheme.
