Question:

215 Mr. Kenny asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when payment of (1) a beef premium and (2) sheep headage grants will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Mayo.

Payment of the first and second instalments of the 1991 ewe premium scheme has been made already. The third and final instalment of the ewe premium scheme will be paid in March/April when the EC Commission fixes the level of that instalment.

The applicant has already been paid his 1991 cattle and equines headage, suckler cow and special beef premium scheme grants.

He is not eligible for sheep headage grants on mountain breeding ewes as he does not have any mountain grazings on which he could maintain them.
