Vol. 416 No. 3

Written Answers. - County Louth Company.

John V. Farrelly

Question:

49 Mr. Farrelly asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will outline, (1) the amount of grants allocated to a company (details supplied) in County Louth, (2) the number employed and (3) the number, if any, on short term employment; and if he has satisfied himself with the value for money in terms of jobs provided.

Details of grant payments by the Industrial Development Authority to the group in question are contained in the IDA's annual reports, copies of which are presented to the Houses of the Oireachtas each year.

The aspects of the Deputy's question which relate to employment and value for money in the specific company concerned are primarily matters for the Industrial Development Authority and I do not have a direct responsibility in these aspects. The IDA inform me that they are in close touch with the company.
