53 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Finance if he will outline, in regard to the carpet contract for the Government offices in County Sligo, (1) the number of companies which were invited to tender, (2) the number of tenders received, (3) the successful company, (4) the total cost involved and (5) the lowest tender figure.

62 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Finance if he will give an assurance that, in the fitting of carpets in the offices of the Department of Social Welfare, Aras Mhic Dhiarmada, Dublin, the employees of the company involved in the supply of these carpets and in the fitting of them were registered for PRSI and PAYE and that no subletting of the contract took place in the fitting of the carpets that were supplied.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 53 to 59, inclusive, and 62 to 73, inclusive, together. Due to the large number of questions tabled on these subjects on this occasion and the very extensive information involved, I do not have the resources available to me in my Department to provide such a volume of information in the short time available. However, I will be happy to forward the details to the Deputy as soon as the relevant information can be collated.
