Vol. 416 No. 4

Written Answers. - Redundancy Payments.

Austin Deasy

Question:

111 Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for Labour if the EC have agreed to assist Irish companies in the payment of redundancy moneys; and, if so, when such a scheme will come into operation.

The European Community has not agreed to provide assistance to Irish employers towards the costs of redundancy payments nor am I aware of any proposal that it should do so. Consequently, the second part of the question does not arise.
