246 Mr. D. Ahern asked the Minister for Education if his attention has been drawn to the overcrowding situation in a school (details supplied) in County Louth; if he will have the officials of his Department deal directly with the school authorities in order to plan an alleviation of the problem; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I have arranged for officials from my Department to visit the school in question and to report on the conditions there.

The question of additional accommodation for the school will be considered in the light of this report.
