295 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Health if he will give details of the discussions which have taken place in recent years with the Association of Psychiatrists in Training on the question of general psychiatric training in Ireland.
My Department have periodic meetings with the higher training committee in psychiatry which includes members of the Association of Psychiatrists in Training who are co-opted onto the committee from time to time. Discussions normally focus on matters relating to training in psychiatry together with other issues involving the delivery of psychiatric services.
