Question:316 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for the Environment the total level of road expenditure by local authorities on non-national roads this year.

Returns of expenditure in 1992 on roads by local authorities from their own resources (including rate support grants) will not be available until after the end of the year. I hope shortly to be in a position to determine, and to notify local authorities of, the grant allocations for 1992 in respect of these roads.
