This person has been paid his grant under the 1991 special beef premium scheme already. Payment due to him under the 1991 cattle and equines headage scheme is being processed and will issue shortly. He did not apply for grants under the 1991 suckler cow premium scheme.

359 Mr. Finucane asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when cattle headage, equine grants, suckler cow premiums under the cow quotas suppliers 1992 scheme and a beef premium will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Limerick.

This person has been paid his 1991 cattle and equines headage and special beef premium schemes grants already. He will be paid his grant under the 1991 suckler cow premium scheme for small-scale milk producers shortly. Frank Crowley

Question:

360 Mr. Crowley asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if he will confirm that all approved cattle headage grant payments have now been issued in view of his recent statement which indicated that all payments would issue within a fortnight, and if not, if he will outline the percentage which have not yet been paid and the number of grants still awaiting payment.

A total of 83 per cent of all 1991 livestock headage scheme applicants have been paid to date. The remaining eligible applicants will be paid by the end of March.

Frank Crowley

Question:

361 Mr. Crowley asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a sheep subsidy grant will issue to a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

Payment was delayed in this case because a flock number had to be issued to the person named as it was his first time applying for sheep grants and computer records had to be amended. This has now been done and payment of the first and second instalments of the 1991 ewe premium will issue to the person named within the next three weeks.

Michael Finucane

Question:

362 Mr. Finucane asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a headage grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Limerick.

This person's application for grants under the 1991 cattle and equines headage scheme is being processed and if found in order payment will issue shortly. He has been deemed ineligible for grants under the 1991 special beef scheme because he listed on his application four animals on which premium had been claimed already.
