Vol. 416 No. 6

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

P. J. Sheehan

Question:

407 Mr. Sheehan asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if he will review the application for a beef premium grant of a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

The application of the person named has been reviewed and it is regretted that since he presented for inspection only 20 of the 51 animals on which he applied for 1991 special beef premium and failed to present the cattle identity cards of other animals to the local office of my Department for checking, stamping and punching before he disposed of the animals, no premium can be paid to him for 1991.

Question:

408 Mr. Sheehan asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a person (details supplied) in County Cork will receive payment of his beef premium grant.

We have no record of an application from the person named.

Ivan Yates

Question:

409 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if a person (details supplied) in County Wexford will be given eligibility under the beef premium scheme, in view of the bone fide error involved in this application.

The person named is not the registered owner of the herd number quoted.

The registered herdowner will be paid 1991 special beef premium scheme grants, however, at the reduced 80 per cent rate as he listed an ineligible female animal on his application form.
