85 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Education if a school (details supplied) in Dublin 1 has now requested grant assistance for new chairs and tables; and if he will outline his response to this request in view of the lack of suitable school furniture at that school.
The authorities of the school in Dublin 1 referred to by the Deputy have not formally requested grant assistance from my Department for new tables and chairs. However, the local inspector has been asked to make a report on the matter and when this is to hand, the matter will be considered having due regard to the available capital.
