Vol. 416 No. 7

Written Answers. - Tipperary School Transport Service.

Michael Lowry

Question:

86 Mr. Lowry asked the Minister for Education if he will outline the recommencement date for the school transport service to Ardcroney national school in County Tipperary for children from the Lahorna, Ballinderry, Ballyrichard, Ballythomas and Ashley Park locality; and if he will give details of the number of eligible children who now conform with the regulations.

There are currently nine eligible children available for transport from the areas mentioned to Ardcroney national school.

As this is below the minimum required for the establishment or maintenance of the service under the school transport scheme, it is not intended to recommence the service in question at this time.
