Vol. 417 No. 1

Written Answers. - Sale of State Property.

Gerry Reynolds

Question:

131 Mr. G. Reynolds asked the Minister for Finance when the Office of Public Works will be in a position to sell a portion of their property at Drumshanbo, County Leitrim; and the reason for the long delay in finalising details of the sale.

Before disposing of this property, it was necessary to redefine its boundaries, in agreement with the adjoining owners, Telecom Éireann. The agreement of Telecom Éireann was conveyed to the Commissioners of Public Works on 1 March 1992 and it is the intention of the commissioners to dispose of the surplus property on the open market as soon as the requisite contract documentation has been prepared.
