Written Answers. - Sheep Flock Numbers Criteria.

Question:

156 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if he will outline the criteria laid down by his Department for the issuing of a sheep flock number.

To qualify for a flock number an applicant must: 1, be over 18 years of age; 2, be the owner of a flock of sheep; 3, farm and occupy the land on which the sheep are maintained; 4, satisfy the Department that the flock is managed separately from any other flock; 5, have separate and adequate handling facilities; and 6, have separate and distinct flock markings.
