Question:

167 Mr. J. Higgins asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason for the delay in the payment of a headage grant to a person (details supplied) in County Mayo.

This applicant has already been paid his grants under the 1991 cattle and equines headage and suckler cow premium schemes. His application for grants under the 1991 special beef premium scheme is being processed at present and if found in order payment will issue shortly.

168 Mr. M. Kitt asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when cattle headage grants will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Galway.

This applicant has already been paid his grant under the 1991 cattle and equines headage scheme. He did not apply for grants under the 1991 suckler cow premium scheme. He has been deemed ineligible for grants under the 1991 special beef premium scheme as he listed on his application form three animals on which premium had already been paid.

169 Mr. Sheehan asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a person (details supplied) in County Cork will receive payment of his beef premium grant.

This applicant's 1991 special beef premium scheme grant is being processed at present and if found in order payment will issue shortly.

170 Mr. Sheehan asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a person (details supplied) in County Cork will receive payment of his cattle headage and suckler cow grant under the 12,800 gallon quota for 1991.

This applicant's 1991 cattle headage scheme grant is being processed for payment at present and will issue shortly.

My Department is unable to trace any application from him under the 1991 EC suckler cow premium scheme for smallscale milk producers.
