31 Mr. Flanagan asked the Minister for Energy the projects which he will be sponsoring for aid under the EC Thermie Programme for energy efficiency and renewable forms of energy; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
As the Thermie programme is an EC programme for the promotion of energy technologies for Europe, I do not have a role in sponsoring projects for aid. However, the EC Commission approved seven Irish projects last year for grant assistance, and the valuation by the EC Commission of a further round of project submissions is currently ongoing. The results of this latest round are expected towards the end of May this year.
