Question:

70 Mr. Hogan asked the Taoiseach the number of cattle slaughtered in each year between 1987 and 1991.

The estimated numbers of cattle slaughtered annually in Ireland for the years 1987 to 1991 inclusive are shown in the following table:

The estimated total numbers of cows in the State on 1 June for each year from 1987 to 1991 inclusive are shown in the following table:

The information requested by the Deputy is given in the following table. The latest month in 1991 for which such data is available is October.
