Vol. 417 No. 2

Written Answers. - Dental Care.

Bernard Allen

Question:

127 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Health the reason a person (details supplied) in County Cork is being denied dental care even though he is in possession of a medical card.

The person in question is presently on the Southern Health Board's routine waiting list for adult dental treatment and they have informed me that he will be offered an appointment in approximately three months.

If, however, the person requires emergency dental treatment to relieve pain he will receive such treatment immediately on application to the board.
