293 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for the Environment if he will outline the plans which have been undertaken by his Department in order to maximise the benefits which will be available under the improved Structural Funds scheme.
The preparation of a development plan for submission to the EC as a basis for the allocation of Structural Funds assistance after 1993 is currently under consideration. My Department's role in the preliminary stages of this work will be to provide appropriate input on roads, water and sanitary services, and other relevant services to the Department of Finance, which has the lead role in this matter.
