437 Mr. Byrne asked the Minister for Social Welfare the number of people in receipt of unemployment assistance who have four or more dependent children and who live in local authority housing who are paying rent through the differential rent scheme.

There were 171,968 persons in receipt of unemployment assistance at 28 February 1992, and of these an estimated 17,000 persons had four or more dependent children.
