Vol. 417 No. 5

Written Answers. - Kells (Meath) Former Garda Station.

John V. Farrelly

Question:

35 Mr. Farrelly asked the Minister for Justice if he will consider offering the old Garda station in Kells, County Meath, as a youth resource centre for the young people of the town; and if he will be prepared to meet the deputation of interested parties in this regard.

The old Garda station in Kells is required by the Department of Defence for use by the FCA. As the building is not surplus to State requirements and is not being disposed of by the State, no useful purpose would be served by my meeting a deputation as requested.
