Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Michael Creed

Question:

180 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a person (details supplied) in County Cork will be paid his cattle headage grant.

As this applicant is unable to satisfy my Department that he is in a position to continue his farming activities in a designated disadvantaged area for five years I regret that cattle headage grants cannot be paid to him.

Ned O'Keeffe

Question:

181 Mr. E. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when payment of a suckler cow grant will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Sligo.

This person's application for grants under the 1991 EC suckler cow premium scheme is being processed at present and if found in order payment will be made shortly.

William Cotter

Question:

182 Mr. Cotter asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a farm improvement grant payment will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Monaghan; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

A small payment — representing an adjustment to a previous grant — was recently made in this case. The main grant will be paid inside the next few weeks.
