Vol. 418 No. 4
124 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Education if he will outline the number of additional physical education teachers that were employed by his Department in 1991/1992 as compared with 1990/1991.
125 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Education if he will outline the number of physical education teachers employed on, (a) a full-time basis, (b) a temporary whole-time basis and (c) a part-time basis in secondary schools.
I propose to take Questions Nos. 124 and 125 together.
I assume that the Deputy is referring to physical education teachers employed by the various post-primary schools. My Department does not employ teachers directly.
Such appointments are a matter for each school authority and the detailed information sought by the Deputy in that regard is not readily available in my Department.
