88 Mr. Carey asked the Minister for the Environment if his Department took any action during 1991-92 to set up waste recycling units in County Clare; and if he will outline whether he has received properly documented applications.

Four completed applications for recycling grants were received in my Department from County Clare in 1991. One of these received substantial grant assistance and has since, I understand, established collection services in parts of the county.
