Question:

120 Mr. J. Bruton asked the Minister for Health the number of children in County Meath, and in the North Eastern Health Board area generally, who are waiting the provision of orthodontic treatment, and/or assessment as to whether such treatment is necessary.

The number of children on the waiting list for orthodontic treatment/assessment is as follows:

It was not possible to get a breakdown by category in the Meath area in the time available. I will furnish this information to the Deputy in the near future.

Priority is of course given to those children in the more severe categories.
