Question:127 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for the Environment if he will immediately sanction the Killarney sewerage scheme in County Kerry as put forward by Killarney Urban District Council.

The contract documents for the provision of additional sludge dewatering facilities at the Killarney sewerage treatment works were approved on 24 March 1992 and Killarney Urban District Council have been advised to seek tenders for this work.
A preliminary report for an extension to the existing treatment plant and other works is under consideration.
