Question:73 Mr. Barry asked the Minister for Finance when it is proposed to eliminate the VAT element on hurleys, as promised.
Written Answers. - VAT on Hurleys.
No commitment has been given by me, or any of my predecessors, to remove VAT from hurleys. Such a course of action is simply not open to me as it would be contrary to EC law.
