Vol. 418 No. 7

Written Answers. - Departmental Staff.

Ruairí Quinn

Question:

141 Mr. Quinn asked the Minister for Justice if he will outline the total numbers in general service grades who have left his Department through, (a) retirement, (b) resignation, (c) death in service, (d) career break and (e) for any other reason for each of the years 1985 to date; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The information requested by the Deputy for the years 1986 to date in respect of my Department is set out in the following table. Records are not readily available for the year 1985 and it would not be possible to furnish this information without the expenditure of a disproportionate amount of staff time which I consider would not be justified.
