Vol. 418 No. 7

Written Answers. - Ladies Gaelic Football Association Funding.

Jimmy Deenihan

Question:

165 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Education if he will increase the grant aid to the Ladies Gaelic Football Association to promote the game throughout Ireland.

The position is that because of constraints on funding for sport in 1992, it will not be possible to award additional grant-aid to the association in the current year.

The application will again be considered as the financial provision permits.

The Minister of State at my Department has met a deputation from the Ladies Gaelic Football Association at which the matter was discussed.
