Question:250 Mr. J. Bruton asked the Minister for the Environment when the proposal that all future county managers will be appointed for a period of seven years will come into effect.

The new tenure arrangements in respect of the office of manager provided for in section 47 of the Local Government Act, 1991 and the Local Government (Tenure of Office) Order, 1991 are in place in respect of persons appointed subsequent to 21 May, 1991.
