Question:254 Mr. J. Bruton asked the Minister for the Environment if he will give details of the accumulated local authority deficit per head of population in each local authority area.

Particulars of the indebtedness of individual local authorities are included in the Returns of Local Taxation published annually by my Department. Copies of the returns in respect of 1989 are in the Oireachtas Library. I hope to have returns for 1990 published in the near future.
