Vol. 418 No. 7

Written Answers. - Decentralisation Programme.

Roger T. Garland

Question:

335 Mr. Garland asked the Minister for Social Welfare if he will outline whether he intends to locate offices in Limerick; if so, whether a decision has been made on any particular location; and if so, where.

My Department already has offices in Limerick.

There are Social Welfare Services Offices at Dominick Street in Limerick city and at Newcastlewest.

A branch office which deals with unemployment payments on a contract basis is located in Kilmallock and a Social Welfare Officer is also stationed in the town.

There are no proposals to open additional offices in Limerick.
