Question:133 Mr. V. Brady asked the Minister for Health the reason for the delay in payment of disabled person's maintenance allowance to a person (details supplied) in Dublin 3; and when payment will be made.

The assessment of eligibility for an allowance or assistance in any individual case is the responsibility of the health board concerned. Accordingly, I have referred the case to the chief executive officer of the Eastern Health Board for investigation and a request that he reply to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
