Question:

44 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Energy the steps being taken to protect the population as a result of the leak in the nuclear power station at St. Petersburg.

The Radiological Protection Institute of Ireland have advised that no particular steps are necessary as there has been no threat to the health of the population of Ireland arising from the nuclear incident at St. Petersburg.
