122 Mr. Quinn asked the Minister for Justice if he will outline the changes that will now be put in place in anticipation of 1993 and the completion of the Internal Market within the European Community with regard to the location, role and statutory authority of immigration officers at ports of entry to this State; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Discussions on the measures required to bring about the completion of the Internal Market are still taking place at EC and inter-Governmental level. It would not be appropriate to speculate in advance of the completion of those discussions on any changes that might be required as a result of them.
