Vol. 419 No. 7

Written Answers. - County Donegal School.

Patrick D. Harte

Question:

29 Mr. Harte asked the Minister for Education the reason for the delay in having a two room extension provided at Kerrykeel national school, County Donegal, which was sanctioned in April 1991; when the construction of the extension will commence; and when other necessary works, which have been reported by the school manager, will be carried out.

A sketch plan is being prepared for the proposed extension to Kerrykeel National School, County Donegal when completed it will be sent to the school authorities to enable them to apply for Local Authority Planning Permission. Any improvements necessary to the existing school building will be incorporated in the main scheme.

As there are a number of factors outside my Department's control in the whole process of planning and building a school project, I am not in a position to say, at this point, when works will commence.
