Vol. 419 No. 7

Written Answers. - Enterprise Culture.

Brian O'Shea

Question:

36 Mr. O'Shea asked the Minister for Education if he will outline the main features of the concept of an enterprise culture as stated in An Introduction to the Education Green Paper, 1992; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I would outline the main features of education for an enterprise culture broadly as an education aimed at developing in young people enterprising qualities such as initiative, creativity, self-confidence, interpersonal skills, planning ability and problem solving capacity so that they will be more innovative and enterprising whatever their role in society, including their contribution to the country's economic development.
