Vol. 419 No. 7

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Michael Noonan

Question:

124 Mr. Noonan (Limerick East) asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a suckler cow grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Limerick; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Further investigation is necessary in this case before a decision can be made as to whether or not 1991 Suckler Cow Scheme grants can be paid to the person named.

Jim Higgins

Question:

125 Mr. J. Higgins asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason a person (details supplied) in County Mayo has not received full headage payments to date.

This applicant was due a total of £361.72 under the 1991 Cattle and Equines Headage Scheme. However, he was over-paid the sum of £187.32 under the 1989 Cattle Headage Scheme and that amount has now been recouped leaving a balance of £174.41. This £174.41 has been paid to him together with £205.62 due under the 1991 Suckler Cow Premium Scheme. He did not apply for grants under the 1991 Special Beef Premium Scheme.

Michael Finucane

Question:

126 Mr. Finucane asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a beef premium will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Limerick.

This applicant's 1991 Special Beef Premium Scheme grant is being processed at present and if found in order payment will issue shortly.

Frank Crowley

Question:

127 Mr. Crowley asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a cattle headage grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

The person named has all his lands in the Less Severely Handicapped Areas. He did not qualify for grants under the 1991 Beef Cow Scheme in the Less Severely Handicapped Areas, however, as he had no beef cows. He did not apply for grants under any other cattle scheme.
