Question:

140 Mr. O'Shea asked the Minister for the Environment if Waterford County Council's project for major extensions and improvements to the East Waterford water supply scheme will be included in the Department's current operational programme for sanitary services, and if he will make a statement on the matter.

This scheme is included on the indicative list of the Operational Programme: Water, Sanitary and other Local Services 1989-1993. My Department is awaiting the submission of contract documents for Contract No. 4 and a certificate confirming that the necessary preliminary planning arrangements have been completed.
