96 Mr. Stagg asked the Minister for Education if he will seek Government approval for a supplementary estimate for his Department to cover the cost of building Confey College, County Kildare, in 1992, thereby bringing forward the building schedule for this college recently announced by him.
I do not intend to seek a supplementary estimate for the purpose indicated. I am fully committed to proceeding with the project in question as soon as possible however and I have set out a timescale which I consider reasonable having regard to the arrangements which have yet to be completed, including the invitation and assessment of tenders.
