Vol. 419 No. 9

Written Answers. - Askeaton (Limerick) National School.

Gerard Collins

Question:

95 Mr. Collins asked the Minister for Education if his attention has been drawn to the fact the Deputy Gerard Collins was informed by his office on 10 February last that tender documents for the proposed extension and improvements to Askeaton national school, County Limerick were being prepared and were expected to be completed at the end of March, and it was hoped that tenders for the project would be invited in April 1992; and if he will outline the present position in this particular project.

My Department expects to have tender documents for the proposed building project at Askeaton National School completed by the end of this month. The formal arrangements for the invitation of tenders will then be put in hands.

It has not been possible to invite tenders earlier as had been hoped because of the large volume of architectural drawing work on hands.
